It is considered an evolution of the ancient divination system used by dowsers, who used branches of certain trees to find water, gold, and other materials. The first data found on the use of pendulums in divination dates back to 1922, when American physician Albert Abrams published a text on the subject, aimed at the detection and treatment of diseases. The object itself has also evolved; at first, it was a key suspended from a thread. The thread was held from above and questions were asked, after which the key began to oscillate. Later, the key was replaced by other objects such as a ring, a metal ball, glass, or even wood. Here we present a beautiful collection of metal and natural stone pendulums.
